2006 Halo Start of Summer Blast
From CooperNet
The 2006 Halo Start of Summer Blast is an event where you're all invited to come over and try to virtually blow each other up, primarily in Halo games for the Xbox.
- Location
- Our new house at 194 Berry Corner Rd. in Charlton, MA. See Directions for how to get here.
- Timing
- May 27, 2006 (Memorial day weekend), starting from when you arrive until you leave. Target start time is currently around 1:00pm, but that's flexible.
- Dining
- Food will be provided. Please be sure to notify us of any dietary requirements or preferences.
- Activities
- I plan for the majority of the time to be spent playing Halo on Xboxes. However, we may end up playing other games on network-enabled hardware, or even some non-networked games. There will also likely be a good amount of eating, chatting, and general mayhem.
- Things you can bring (if you have them)
- Yourself
- An Xbox, with associated controllers, games, and video cable.
- If you have a TV you could bring, please let me know and I'll contact you to coordinate whether it'll be needed.
- We are providing
- We will be providing snacks throughout the event, as well as supper on Saturday. (We may be able to provide lunch as well, if you're coming early.)
- We have one Xbox and two televisions that can be used.
- We have all networking infrastructure needed, although you could bring your own network cable if you wanted.
- Important response instructions
- If you are planning on coming, please email Pete at pete@cooperjr.name to inform us of your plans. Please let us know when you're coming, what you're bringing, and any food requirements, restrictions, requests, or recommendations. This will help us plan meals, space, and how many consoles/televisions we need. However, if your plans change at the last minute, do feel free to come even if you haven't responded.
Also, for those who'd like to come but can't or don't want to come physically, we may be able to set up a VPN and turn this into a WAN party.
